WIND VAIN
This project explores the connection between design and natural movement.
The sculptural concept originates in the visual language of paper cuttings, translated into precisely cut and folded metal forms that create a poetic object in motion.
Each vane is made from a single sheet of perforated and folded metal, forming a delicate, lace-like structure that sways with the wind.
The vanes reach up to 10 meters in height and 2 meters in diameter.
Originally presented at the Fresh Paint art fair in 2017, the series was commissioned in 2024 by the city of Yokneam as a permanent installation at the city’s entrance.
