"A polygon can be referred to as a plane figure that is bounded by a closed path, composed of a finite sequence of straight line segments".

The first model of the Polygons was of a light bulb enclosed in a cubic frame (a construction of metal strings). The emitted light created a two-dimensional shape on the ceiling. This projection was an opportunity to forego the traditional use of a lampshade (as a cover to the bulb) and leave only its outlines.

Using a 3D mechanical CAD program we started with a randomly chosen polygon shape and attach it to a second and a third one, each drawn on different planes.

The outcome is a sequence of nonsymmetrical tangent polygons resulting in a closed hollow form.
